 We are currently seeking candidates for a Purchasing Manager in Mississauga, Ontario. As the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for procurement of commodities and supplies required by the company as it relates to production,  manufacturing and for export.


 

Main job function is to develop new revenue opportunities consistent with national supply chain and company goals through the research and analysis of competitive conditions, customer needs, and market trends.

Other duties and responsibilities

  •  Plan, develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures .
  • Research, discover contact and negotiate with suppliers for new commodities and supplies.
  •  Oversee the evaluation of the cost and quality of goods or services.
  •  Manage contracts; authorize the development of specifications for products or services for export; 
  • Assign, co-ordinate and review projects and programs;
  •  Advise senior management; Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations.
